About SPEED

Established in 1999, the School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED) is committed to providing lifelong education opportunities for people with different education needs to acquire higher qualifications. SPEED is dedicated to offering students with high quality education programmes to enrich and enhance their lifelong learning experience.

SPEED provides a diversity of programmes ranging from sub-degree to postgraduate levels in both full-time and part-time study modes.  Programmes leading to PolyU SPEED academic awards include Bachelor’s Degree and Executive Diplomas. In addition, SPEED brings in programmes leading to a comprehensive range of overseas academic awards, encompassing undergraduate to postgraduate levels as well as high-end, executive development courses.

SPEED also offers a flexible Credit Accumulation Mechanism (CAM) which enables learners to study and accumulate credits for academic awards at their own pace. SPEED introduces over 100 CAM courses every year. Currently, over 8,000 learners have registered under CAM.

SPEED now has a student enrolment of over 3,000 and offers 22 programmes leading to PolyU SPEED academic awards or Overseas academic awards.
