Aims and ObjectivesThe Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Hotel Management equips students with the necessary academic, operational and professional knowledge and skills to help them perform competently in various hotel industry contexts. The primary objectives of the programme are to:

• develop graduates who can contribute to the operations and management of a hospitality, tourism, convention & event and /or related service business or organization in an efficient, effective and sustainable way;

• offer a multidisciplinary education, which equips students with the professional knowledge and skills needed for a broad range of complex, managerial and specialised work activities in the hotel, tourism and convention & event industry; and

• develop graduates who can significantly contribute to the total quality service delivery to hospitality, tourism, convention & event and service-related customers.
FeaturesThe Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Hotel Management is a conversion programme designed to enable graduates of the Higher Diploma in Hotel Management or Higher Diploma in Tourism Management offered by the School of Hotel and Tourism Management or those with equivalent qualifications to upgrade their academic qualifications to degree status. This multidisciplinary programme prepares students for careers at the management level in the hotel and hospitality industry, either locally or internationally.

This programme is offered by the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) of PolyU, and is administered by PolyU SPEED. Most of the classes will be held on PolyU Hung Hom Bay Campus and PolyU West Kowloon Campus.

Upon successful completion of the programme, the degree will be awarded by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
