|Aims and Objectives||The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Building Engineering and Management aims to produce graduates who can be developed as highly competent and professional building engineers for Hong Kong, China and the international market. It aims to equip students with the knowledge and ability to contribute effectively to project and facilities management teams which are engaged in complex building projects.|
^ This programme is transferred from the Department of Building and Real Estate (BRE) of PolyU with core elements of the existing programme remaining unchanged. The programme curriculum and subjects to be offered are subject to the final approval by PolyU by mid-2017.

|Professional Recognition||This programme is transferred from the Department of Building and Real Estate (BRE) of PolyU with the core elements of the existing programme remaining unchanged. PolyU SPEED, with the support from BRE, is now seeking the continuation of the recognition from the professional bodies concerned after the programme transfer.|
The existing part-time Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Building Engineering and Management offered by BRE has been granted provisional accreditation by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE). It also meets the academic requirements for Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers (HKICM). It is currently undergoing the accreditation process by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), the UK.
