|The programme is specifically designed to provide occupational safety and health (OSH) studies for preparing suitable candidates and safety practitioners for positions of Safety Officer in local context. |
Students upon successfully completion of the programme can well expect to be absorbed into a wide range of industries that need their knowledge and OSH skills.

The 'Certificate of Attainment' acquired through successful completion of this programme is recognised by the government for the purpose of registration with the Labour Department as safety officer under the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Safety Officers and Safety Supervisors) Regulations.
Graduates with relevant working experience are also eligible to apply for registration as the Technician membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), United Kingdom. A top-up programme is available for graduates who would like to meet the academic requirements for the Chartered membership of IOSH.

Applicants who have reached the age of 25 by 1st September in the year of admission are considered as Mature Applicants. Mature Applicants who do not hold stipulated entrance qualifications may be admitted on an individual and exceptional basis. Genuine interest and need in the field with employer's letter of support and relevant safety experience are important factors for consideration.
|Certification||A Certificate of Attainment will be issued to students who have attended 70% or above of the classes and passed the assessment.|
