	Director's Message

	It is my pleasure to welcome you to PolyU SPEED! This year marks our 10^th anniversary in providing quality education in Hong Kong and we celebrate the continued trust and confidence that our students and stakeholders have placed on us over the past years. SPEED has grown significantly since its inception in 1999. In 2007/08, SPEED offered a comprehensive range of programmes leading to PolyU SPEED Academic Awards or overseas awards at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels for a total of more than 4,000 students. I take pride in the fact that SPEED’s development has drawn strength and momentum from its laser-like focus on its mission throughout the years and we continue to do so with vigour and dedication. In our efforts to achieve excellence at every stage of student’s learning process, we have worked unceasingly to provide the best platform together with widest range of opportunities for achieving higher qualifications and further education. Our passionate pursuit of all-rounded excellence in our students characterises the atmosphere at SPEED. SPEED will provide our students with a congenial learning environment. As a student, you will find the learning environment at SPEED to be stimulating and challenging. You will also be provided with opportunities to enrich your personal development with activities ranging from workshops and seminars, student organisations and activities, competitions, and scholarship programmes, amongst others.
