Teaching and Scholarly Interests
Dr Adam Wong is a Lecturer and Assistant Programme Director with PolyU SPEED. Adam has over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology industry. Before joining PolyU SPEED in 2002, he had worked for international companies such as Acer, Philips, Hewlett-Packard, and PCCW. His professional experiences include system development, database support, and electronic-commerce and project management.
He obtained his Doctor in Business Administration and MSc in Strategic Planning from Heriot Watt University, MSc in Information Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and BSc from the University of Hong Kong.
He has over 10 years of teaching in various areas covering strategy, human resources management, research workshops, computer programming, computer security and e-commerce; from undergraduate to master programmes; from local universities to overseas universities.
He has presented research papers in international conferences, and local professional bodies such as the HK Institute of Engineers, and CPD Alliance of Hong Kong.
He is a full member with the HK Computer Society, a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, a Certified Java Programmer, a member of ISACA (Previously known as the Information Systems Audit and Control Association).
His research interests are the use of information technology in training and education, and digital marketing.
