Financial Assistance

 

Means-tested financial assistance

Local full-time students may apply for means-tested Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP) offered by the HKSAR Government.  If you wish to know more about FASP, please visit the website of Student Finance Office (SFO): https://www.wfsfaa.gov.hk/sfo/en/postsecondary/fasp/overview.htm.

In addition, the Community Care Fund (CCF) also provides assistance to students fulfilling specific requirements in terms of providing hostel subsidy, increasing the academic expenses grant and enhancing the academic expenses grant for students with special education needs and financial needs.  If you wish to know more about CCF, please visit the SFO website at https://www.wfsfaa.gov.hk/sfo/en/postsecondary/ccf/index.htm

Pursuant to the 2018-19 Budget passed by the Legislative Council on 10 May 2018, a one-off grant of $2,000 will be provided to financially needy students to support their learning.  If you wish to know more about this grant, please visit the SFO website at https://www.wfsfaa.gov.hk/sfo/pdf/common/news/one_off_grant_E.pdf

 

Non-means tested financial assistance

Local full-time students may apply for Non-means-tested Loan Scheme for Post-secondary Students (NLSPS) (https://www.wfsfaa.gov.hk/sfo/en/postsecondary/nlsps/overview.htm) while part-time students may apply for Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS) (https://www.wfsfaa.gov.hk/sfo/en/postsecondary/enls/overview.htm) offered by the HKSAR Government.

 

Continuing Education Fund (CEF)

Some subjects which form part of a programme have been included in the list of reimbursable courses for Continuing Education Fund (CEF) purposes.  Details about CEF are available at website http://www.wfsfaa.gov.hk/cef
