Aims and Objectives | The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Housing Management is specially designed to provide students with both academic and professional knowledge in the realm of housing management. The primary objective is to develop students’ industry and functional competencies. This will be accomplished through interdisciplinary exposure, problem identification and management application. |

Programme Structure |
There are different award requirements for students from different academic background.

Study schedule | Students are normally required to study 15-18 credits in each semester. For most of the full-time programmes, students may enjoy a summer break after two semesters in an academic year.
Under the normal study load, the number of class contact hours per week is about 15-16.
Most of the classes will be held during daytime while some may be arranged in the evening. |
Teaching and Assessment Methods | Teaching is usually conducted through lectures, tutorials and seminars. Depending on the contents and requirements of individual subject, classes may also be supplemented by laboratory and practical sessions. Online learning platform is also available through which students and teachers are encouraged to interact outside classrooms.
To enable students to demonstrate that they have met the intended learning outcomes of the academic programmes and fulfilled the requirements of each subject, appropriate methods of assessment will be employed. These methods usually include assignment, projects, tests and examinations. |
Entry Requirements |
A recognized Associate Degree or a Higher Diploma or equivalent qualification. *
Those who do not possess the above-mentioned qualifications but have reached the age of 25 before 1 September, in the year in which they seek admission, may apply as mature applicants. Mature applicants should possess relevant work experience in senior positions and have completed post-secondary studies in related fields. They will also be required to pass an admission test and demonstrate to the Admission Interview Panel their ability to complete the programme.
*The main medium of instruction of the study programmes concerned should be English. Applicants who have completed programmes with other languages as the main medium of instruction are required to attain the following English Language requirement:

Tuition:

[Students and graduates of Hong Kong Community College (HKCC) should submit their applications via my.HKCC by following the steps therein in order to enjoy the waiver of application fee.]
Local students: HK$2,475 per credit in 2019/20 academic year (subject to review for 2020/21 academic year).
Non-local students: A credit fee of 10% higher than that for local students will be charged.
The tuition fee is charged on a semester basis.
Tuition fees paid are normally neither refundable nor transferable.

Financial Assistance |
Local full-time students enrolled in PolyU-SPEED award programmes are eligible to apply for means-tested Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP) or Non-means-tested Loan Scheme for Post-secondary Students (NLSPS) offered by the Government’s Student Finance Office (SFO). If you wish to know more about FASP and NLSPS, please visit the SFO website www.wfsfaa.gov.hk/sfo.
Some subjects which form part of a programme have been included in the list of reimbursable courses uner Continuing Education Fund (CEF). Details about CEF are available at website www.wfsfaa.gov.hk/cef/.
Students are not allowed to apply for both FASP and CEF for the same programme in the same academic year. |

Supporting Facilities | Most of the classes will be held on PolyU Hung Hom Bay (HHB) Campus and PolyU West Kowloon (WK) Campus. Both PolyU Hung Hom Bay Campus and PolyU West Kowloon Campus are equipped with state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities. All students are entitled to access the library, computing and sports facilities at both campuses. Full-time students are also entitled to the health and dental services offered by the School.
On top of the facilities at HHB and WK campuses, all students can also access the library and sports facilities at PolyU main campus. |
