The programme has been recently approved by the University in June 2024. The programme title has been changed from “BSc (Hons) in Property Technology Management” to “BSc (Hons) in Property and Facilities Technology Management”.

Note:

  1. Students who have not met the equivalent standard of undergraduate degree Language and Communication Requirements (LCR) under GUR are required to take up to 9 additional credits in LCR (2 subjects in English & 1 subject in Chinese, 3 credits each). They will be advised if they are required to take LCR subjects on admission.
  2. Students from unrelated disciplines may also be considered for admission to this programme. These students will be required to take an additional foundation subject if they have not completed similar subjects before.
  3. Full-time students will fulfil the WIE requirement upon passing the three compulsory training subjects. As such, they are not required to complete additional WIE activities.
  4. Students who choose to apply to exit the programme with an ordinary degree without honours are not required to take these two subjects (total: 9 credits).

Entrance Requirements

The minimum requirements for admission to the programme are as follows:

 

Holder of a recognised Associate Degree/ Higher Diploma or an equivalent qualification in related areas. Applicants with qualifications in non-related areas will also be considered and, if admitted, are required to take additional foundation subject(s) as appropriate; OR

 

Holder of other qualifications in related areas at Level 4 under the HKSAR Qualifications Framework (QF), or a qualification in property management [for Property Management Practitioner (Tier 2) Licence] specified by the Property Management Services Authority (PMSA), who has a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.

 

 Notes:

  1. The main medium of instruction of the sub-degree programme concerned should be English. An applicant who has completed the programme with other languages as the main medium of instruction should fulfil the following minimum English language requirements:
    • A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 80 for the Internet-based test/ 550 for the paper-based test; OR
    • An overall Band Score of 6 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS); OR
    • Satisfactory results in other recognised English language assessments
  2. An applicant who does not possess the above-mentioned qualifications but has reached the age of 25 before 1 September, in the year in which he/ she seeks admission, may apply as mature applicant. He/ she must demonstrate sufficient motivation, knowledge and potential to indicate a high probability of being able to complete the programme successfully. In addition, he/ she may be required to take appropriate foundation subject(s).
