Aims and Objectives
This programme allows you to top up your existing qualifications (e.g. Higher Diploma or Associate Degree) to an honour's degree while having a full-time job. It has been designed to give you the ideal balance between a broad understanding of business, whilst developing your specialist knowledge in contemporary business management models and learning how to evaluate how businesses operate globally in an increasingly competitive environment.

International Standing:
- Newcastle Business School (NBS) of Northumbria University (NU) has been awarded double accreditation in business and accounting by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International), putting NBS amongst an elite group of institutions offering business degrees with dual AACSB accreditation. - A free, optional English Writing Workshop will be run for students who wish to enhance their English writing skills for their work/studies. (Places are limited, and the offering of the workshop is subject to sufficient enrolment.)

Study Support activities such as orientation, library induction, research workshop will be run to facilitate academic support and provide students with a framework for independent learning.
Study Schedule
Classes are conducted on weekday evenings and/or Saturday afternoons/evenings on PolyU Hung Hom Bay Campus or PolyU West Kowloon Campus.
Teaching and Assessment
Teaching methods include lectures, seminars, and workshops. There is significant emphasis on independent learning as well as self-directed and group activities as this programme is in effect the final year of a degree course. Assessment methods will include individual assignments, group presentations/reports, online quizzes, and so on.
Entry Requirements
For admission to the programme, applicants should:
i) possess a Higher Diploma or an Associate Degree or an equivalent qualification in a business-related discipline, or BTEC Higher National Diploma in Business, AND
ii) achieve a score of 6.0 in IELTS (Academic), or equivalent in other tests of English (e.g. English in HKALE, HKCEE or HKDSE).
Holders of other qualification(s) with substantial relevant work experience may also apply (If you have doubts about whether your "other qualifications" will be considered, you are advised to contact us for more details before submitting an application). Such applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an admission test and an interview.
Financial Assistance
Extended Non-means-tested Loan
Students on the programme are eligible to apply for the Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS) offered by the Student Finance Office (SFO). Further information on the scheme can be obtained via the SFO website.
