Dr Wong graduated from The University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Social Science degree and a Master of Economics degree. She obtained her PhD degree from PolyU.
Dr Wong is a qualified professional accountant with the membership of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK) as well as the fellow membership of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). She started her career in auditing in KPMG. She has extensive audit experience in reputable audit firms.
Dr Wong taught several subjects in the accounting field in the School of Accounting and Finance of PolyU for 12 years before joining this institution. She always has passion in providing guidance to students in academic and career development. She has maintained long-term relationships with her students.
Dr Wong is actively involved in the activities of the HKICPA. She actively participates in the Enhanced Qualification Programme as a workshop facilitator and was an instructor for new facilitators. She was a member of the working group of the Case Analysis Competition organised by the HKICPA. She has maintained good linkage with professional organisations.
Dr Wong contributes to society by being a district liaison officer in Auxiliary Medical Service (AMS) and a principal adviser of the Advisory Board to AMS Officers’ Club.
