Professional Activities/ Achievements



Dr. Artie Ng is Principal Lecturer and Deputy Director with PolyU SPEED.  He is also Programme Director overseeing quality assurance of a portfolio of articulation degree programmes across various disciplines offered by PolyU SPEED. Prior to developing his career in business education, he earned professional experience with Coopers & Lybrand and multinational firms in project finance within the independent power sector.  He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Adam Smith School of Business at the University of Glasgow, MBA from Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and M.Eng. in Technology Management at the University of Waterloo. 

Dr. Ng was a recipient of the 2011/12 Superior Research-Scholarly Performance Award granted by College of Professional & Continuing Education at PolyU.  He once served as a research fellow with Public Policy Research Institute of PolyU and participated in public consultation projects for the Government.  His research interest is pertinent to sustainability performance of knowledge-intensive organizations and emerging issues with international financial regulations. He has recently been invited to deliver his presentation at the Conference on “Policy responses to the Great Financial Crisis” at St Antony’s College, University of Oxford.

Besides his scholarly activities, Dr. Ng has previously served as a committee member with international professional accounting associations, including the Ethics Committee of HKICPA, CPD Advisory Panel of HKICPA as well as the Council of CIMA (Hong Kong).   He is currently a board member with CPA Canada (Hong Kong Chapter).
