The construction industry is constantly evolving, and it is essential to stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends. This talk will focus on the latest advancements in construction technology and how they can be utilised to improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability in the industry. Speakers

Raymond Ng

Ir Sammy Lai is the director of Gammon Construction Limited, responsible for overseeing the company’s building projects and driving innovation for the Building Division. Having worked in Gammon for over 20 years, he started his career in project planning and subsequently developed into a full-fledged project leader through a number of challenging and technically complex projects. He led a buildability study for the One Taikoo Place project to promote sustainable construction at pre-tendering stages and innovative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality and Robotics during construction. He received the Excellent Award for Construction Manager (Industry Practitioners Category) at CIC’s first Sustainable Construction Award in 2018 for the project. Sammy is a member of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the Chartered Institute of Building.

 

Alan Mo

Joined in 2000, Mr Alan Mo is now a Senior Construction Manager (Building Division) of Gammon Construction Limited. He is currently the project-in-charge of the Ho Man Tin Phase 2 Residential Development project. Alan has extensive experience in managing large-scale complex construction in hotel, residential and commercial development and A&A works, with good technical know-how in structural construction and interior finishing and decoration works. He has experience in planning and coordinating construction works in live operational environments. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Building Technology and Management and a Master of Science (Honours) degree in Facility Management. Alan was recognised as the Champion in the Project Leader Award organised by The Lighthouse Club Hong Kong 2023.
