Student Activities

(mainly for full-time students of PolyU SPEED programmes)

• SPEED Summer Internship Programme
  Taking place during summer, the China Internship programme provides opportunities and sponsorship for students to work as interns and to be exposed to the cultural way of life in the Chinese mainland. The Cambodia Internship programme (for selected PolyU-SPEED award programmes) provides students with opportunities to work in a luxurious private island in Cambodia.
  
  
   
• SPEED International Summer School Programme
  The International Summer School Programme enables sponsored students to pursue study in selected overseas universities for cultural exchange during summer.
  
  
   
• Talks, Seminars and Workshops
  Various professional talks, seminars and workshops are conducted to facilitate students’ career and personal development. Professional talks on job markets, workshops on presentation and interview skills, seminars on study skills, learning and time management skills have also been organised.
  
  
   
• Student Bodies

  Student bodies can be formed according to their general nature as follows:

Academic discipline-related student bodies

For students of relevant programmes of study. These student bodies will be hosted and administratively supported by their respective CPCE Academic Divisions.

Non-academic student bodies
For all students regardless of their programmes of study. These student bodies will be hosted and administratively supported by the CPCE Student Affairs Office (CSAO).

• SPEED Alumni Association
  The SPEED Alumni Association is established under the Federation of PolyU Alumni Associations to promote fellowship among graduates and foster links with alumni of the PolyU community. Student members are welcome. For details, please visit https://www.facebook.com/speedalumni/.
  
  
   
• Other Types of Co-curricular Activities
  Other types of co-curricular activities are also arranged for students, such as visits, case competitions and summer experiential tours to broaden students’ learning experience.
