Applied and Media Arts Graduate Receives CreateSmart Young Design Talent Special Award 2021
10 Nov 2021
Congratulations to Ms Audrey Yick, a 2021 graduate of BA (Hons) in Applied and Media Arts, on receiving the CreateSmart Young Design Talent Special Award 2021 under the DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award 2021. This annual award scheme, organised by Hong Kong Design Centre, aims to nurture up-and-coming local design practitioners and maintain the city’s status as an Asian design hub.
After graduating with a BA (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Warwick, the UK in 2017, Audrey worked in a multinational PR firm and as a freelancer in Hong Kong for two years. She then recognised design as her true calling, and enrolled on BA (Hons) in Applied and Media Arts to develop her skills in this area.
Audrey shared on the DFA website that “Design is a form of communication – we communicate not just in words, but with visuals. I hope to use visual design to communicate and reach more people.”
The award presentation ceremony will be held on 1 December 2021. For more details about Audrey, please visit
