BA (Hons) in Media and Communication Design Students Embark on Taipei Design Tour 2026

From 22 to 26 May 2026, students from PolyU SPEED’s Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Media and Communication Design (BAMCD) programme embarked on the Taipei Design Tour 2026, immersing themselves in the city’s thriving design industry and dynamic educational ecosystem.

At the annual Young Designers’ Exhibition (YODEX), the students drew inspiration from outstanding works by graduates of leading design schools, sparking fresh ideas and perspectives. Visits to renowned creative firms — justfont, Elephant Design, adj.everything and Grandvity Design — offered them valuable opportunities to engage with professional designers to gain deeper insights into industry operations and emerging trends.

On the academic front, the BAMCD students presented their own design projects at Ling Tung University’s Department of Visual Communication Design, fostering peer exchange and idea-sharing. Beyond classrooms and studios, the students experienced Taipei’s vibrant urban life and rich cultural heritage, further appreciating the city’s creative spirit.

The Taipei Design Tour 2026 offered a holistic experience that strengthened the students’ professional knowledge while broadening their horizons. By combining professional learning, networking opportunities and cultural exploration, the tour provided them with perspectives and inspiration that will shape their future careers in design.
