BAFS Talk Series: How to Make a Social Enterprise Sustainable?

On 3 March 2025, the Business, Accounting, and Financial Studies Talk Series featured Mr Alex Law, founder of Matchalike Social Enterprise Co. Ltd. and Matchalike Technology Co. Ltd., as the guest speaker. The event attracted over 80 participants, including secondary school teachers and students. 

Drawing from his extensive real-world experience, Mr Law shared invaluable perspectives on building sustainable social enterprises in the 21st century. These included launching an apprenticeship programme that empowered underprivileged youth from low-income families to manage an online thrift store and establishing the first “Treasure Boutique” at the PolyU West Kowloon Campus. The session provided the attendees with practical strategies for advancing sustainability within the realm of social entrepreneurship.
