Cultural Connections: CABE Delegation Visits PolyU CPCE

On 12 December 2024, a delegation from the California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE) in the USA, led by Dr David Calvo, Director of Development at CABE, visited the Division of Languages and Communication (LC) at PolyU CPCE.

During the meeting, the participants engaged in fruitful discussions and explored diverse pedagogical approaches within the multilingual contexts of the USA and Hong Kong. Mr Tony Kwok, Programme Leader of PolyU HKCC’s Associate in Language and Digital Communication, remarked, “The delegation gained valuable insights into the language programmes hosted by the LC Division, and discussed opportunities for meaningful collaboration in the future.”

CABE, a non-profit organisation, is dedicated to promoting biliteracy, multicultural competency, and educational equity. For nearly five decades, CABE has championed bilingual education in California, providing professional learning, resources, and advocacy.
