Dr Jason Chan, MH, JP, Director of PolyU SPEED Appointed as Founding Honorary Advisor for International Youth STEAM Education Association

The International Youth STEAM Education Association (IYSEA) held its inauguration and appointment ceremony on 10 May 2024 at the PolyU Hung Hom Bay Campus. Dr Jason Chan, MH, JP, Director of PolyU SPEED and Associate Dean (Information and Development) of PolyU CPCE, was appointed as a Founding Honorary Advisor for IYSEA.

Mr Tony Wong, JP, Government Chief Information Officer, also attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.

IYSEA is a non-profit-making organisation established by local veteran principals, education groups and STEAM education practitioners, aiming to provide more STEAM learning and exchange opportunities for the youth. One of its flagship programmes, the "IYTO International Youth Tech Olympics", is a large-scale and popular inter-school STEAM competition in Hong Kong, attracting hundreds of student participants every year and promoting exchanges among students in STEAM fields.
