Guest Talk on Keys to Success for Theme Parks and Attractions

On 2 November 2025, PolyU CPCE’s Division of Business and Hospitality Management hosted Prof. John Ap, former Professor at PolyU’s School of Hotel and Tourism Management, and Macao Institute of Tourism Studies, for a lecture titled “Six Keys to Success for Theme Parks and Attractions”. 

Drawing on his extensive academic research and consultancy experience, Prof. Ap examined the strategic, operational, and experiential foundations essential to successful attractions. His lecture highlighted six dimensions: innovation, operational excellence, market positioning, safety and sustainability, revenue management, and visitor experience design. Through case studies and actionable recommendations, attendees gained valuable insights into addressing contemporary challenges facing the attractions industry.
