Korean B-boy Workshop: A Cultural Exchange Through Dance

On 26 March 2025, the Division of Languages and Communication of PolyU CPCE organised a Korean B-boy workshop, bringing together participants from PolyU SPEED and PolyU HKCC alongside a Korean student from PolyU for a session designed to enhance dance skills and promote cultural exchange.

Under the guidance of Mr Jo Young Jae, the participants mastered foundational B-boy techniques and marveled at live demonstrations that showcased the vibrant artistry and electrifying energy of this celebrated dance form.

The compact gathering enabled Mr Jo to personalise his teaching methods to suit each student’s specific needs, while practising group dance steps encouraged collaboration and cultural exchange among the participants.

This dynamic workshop provided a refreshing break from academic routines, leaving attendees with refined dance skills and a deep appreciation for Korean B-boy culture.
