PolyU CPCE Celebrates Second Win of Outstanding Green Application Award

PolyU CPCE has been honoured with the Outstanding Green Application Award - Green Project (Education)  at the ESG Green Development and Carbon Neutrality Awards 2024 organised by am730 and co-organised by the Institute of Financial Technologists of Asia and the Institute of ESG & Benchmark. For the second consecutive year, PolyU CPCE distinguishes itself as the only tertiary institution to earn such recognition.

The award ceremony, officiated by Mr Tse Chin-wan, BBS, JP, Secretary for Environment and Ecology of the HKSAR Government, took place on 25 March 2025. Dr Jason Chan, MH, JP, Associate Dean (Information and Development) of PolyU CPCE and Director of PolyU SPEED, and Dr Joseph Lau, Head of Student Affairs of PolyU CPCE, attended the ceremony to accept the award on behalf of the College.

PolyU CPCE was recognised for its innovative second-hand clothing project, which engaged students in eco-conscious practices such as setting up a clothing reuse hub on campus, alongside workshops, seminars and community engagement activities. These initiatives not only helped students acquire practical skills and gain knowledge but also extend environmental awareness beyond campus into the broader community.

Through professional judging and AI analysis, awardees were acknowledged for their outstanding ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) contributions to green development and carbon neutrality in Hong Kong. The recognition underscores PolyU CPCE’s long-term commitment to driving sustainable practices and empowering the next generation to build a greener future for all.
