About the Project
Funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the project “Jockey Club Project Well-being: Place-making at Schools” collaborated with 31 schools in Hong Kong to create school environments through design thinking and participatory design. The project worked closely with over 1,000 students and 400 teachers from local primary and secondary schools to co-design creative solutions for the campus environment. The process entailed a series of design thinking and participatory design workshops hosted by passionate designers who have true faith in human centric design. Through a series of design tools, students were empowered to proactively design their own school environment which addressed their well-being and a diverse range of needs.
