PolyU SPEED Design Programme Celebrates Milestone with Student Exhibition

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Media and Communication Design (BAMCD) programme celebrated a landmark achievement with the Rise and Design 2026 Annual Student Exhibition at The Mills from 5 to 10 May 2026. This year’s exhibition not only showcased the creativity and accomplishments of graduating students but also marked the graduation of BAMCD’s inaugural part‑time cohort — a significant step in the programme’s evolution.

Featuring 34 capstone projects from both full‑time and part‑time students, the exhibition highlighted BAMCD’s diverse curriculum across media production, visual communication, and interaction design. Guided by the theme “Circle”, it symbolised cycles, completeness and continuous journeys, with each project reflecting rigorous processes of revision, rethinking and rebuilding. Together, the works captured both the conclusion of an academic chapter and the transition into diverse professional paths, embodying BAMCD’s commitment to nurturing graduates with creative vision, practical skills, and the passion to shape the future of design and communication.

We extend heartfelt appreciation to the students, faculty and industry partners whose support made Rise and Design 2026 a resounding success. As our graduates embark on their professional paths, we look forward to seeing their creativity and impact contribute to the development of the industry in the years ahead.
