PolyU SPEED Hosts Inaugural Graduation Ceremony for Professional Certificate in Property and Asset Management

On 7 June 2025, PolyU SPEED hosted its inaugural Graduation Ceremony for Professional Certificate in Property and Asset Management, featuring Dr James Wong, BBS, JP, Chairperson of the Property Management Services Authority (PMSA), as the Distinguished Guest.
Delivering the welcome address, Dr Jason Chan, MH, JP, Director of PolyU SPEED and Associate Dean (Information and Development) of PolyU CPCE, emphasised the School’s commitment to advancing professionalism in property management. “In response to the growing market demand for qualified property management professionals, PolyU SPEED launched the Professional Certificate in Property and Asset Management courses in 2023,” he stated. “Designed as a stepping stone for holders of the Property Management Practitioner (Tier 2) License, this programme helps them enhance their skills and advance toward obtaining the Property Management Practitioner (Tier 1) License.”
A total of 20 employees from Well Born Real Estate Management Limited and Hang Yick Properties Management Limited, both subsidiaries of Henderson Land Development Company Limited, completed the Professional Certificate in Property and Asset Management (I) and (II) courses. The courses are recognised by PMSA as “Specified academic qualifications in property management considered equivalent to a degree (for Property Management Practitioner (Tier 1) Licence)”. The event marked the success of a corporate training programme for Well Born and Hang Yick, which underscores Henderson Land Group Property Management Department’s commitment to staff development and talent cultivation within the industry.
The three Honorary Advisors of the courses—Mr Suen Kwok-lam, SBS, BBS, MH, JP, Executive Director of Henderson Land Development Company Limited; Hon Tony Tse, BBS, JP, representing the Architectural, Surveying, Planning, and Landscape Functional Constituency of the Legislative Council; and Mr Stephen Yuen, MH, Founding Chairperson of the Property Management Industry Training Advisory Committee, Qualifications Framework—addressed the graduates, commending their dedication and achievements.
As PolyU SPEED continues to strengthen its role as a vital partner in corporate training and professional development within the property management sector, Dr Jason Chan encouraged graduates to uphold high standards and pioneering ideas, with a view to fueling the industry’s sustainable development.
