Shanxi-Hong Kong Youth Exchange 2025 Internship Programme

Eight PolyU CPCE students embarked on an unforgettable journey this summer as part of the “Shanxi-Hong Kong Youth Exchange” 2025 Internship Programme, held from 4 July to 4 August 2025. Organised by the Hong Kong Shanxi Chamber of Commerce, the programme welcomed 30 participants who had successfully navigated multiple rounds of interviews, and offered them invaluable opportunities for cultural immersion and professional development in Shanxi.

Before embarking on their journey, the students attended an opening ceremony, mentorship sessions, pre-departure lectures, and an intensive training camp, equipping them with the skills needed for the experience.

During the internship, participants gained practical insights at leading institutions such as the Shanxi Museum, Shanxi Radio and Television Station, Shanxi Hua Ju Law Firm, Shanxi Chenhan Digital Technology Co., Ltd., and Shanxi Business International Travel Agency Co., Ltd. Beyond professional training, they explored Shanxi’s rich cultural heritage through visits to Pingyao Ancient City, the Yungang Grottoes, Guandi Temple, Shanxi University of Chinese Medicine, Shanxi Contemporary Art Museum, and the Qiao Family Compound.

The programme concluded on 30 August 2025 with a Sharing and Summary Session in Hong Kong, where interns reflected on their experiences. The session was hosted by Li Yayong and Luo Zekai from the Division of Languages and Communication, marking a perfect end to this meaningful journey.
