Surveying Students Shines in Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors Competition

On 22 March 2025, QS Pioneers, a student team from PolyU SPEED’s BSc (Hons) in Surveying, earned the 1st Runner-Up title in the Quantity Surveying Division Presentation Competition 2025: QS x Technology Application hosted by The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors. 

The QS Pioneers, comprising Chi Wing-yiu, Kwong Chun-to, Lai Hoi-lam, and Lau Chun-wai, impressed the judges with their presentation “Digital Payment Integration System in Hong Kong”, which showcased innovative ideas and a deep understanding of the profession.

The event brought together 13 teams from local tertiary institutions, providing students with a platform to exchange insights on quantity surveying while enhancing their presentation skills. By emphasising technology’s impact, the competition inspires future surveyors to innovate and advance the profession sustainably.
