Three PolyU SPEED Students Receive Scholarship at the 21st Hong Kong Housing Society Award

Congratulations to the following PolyU SPEED students, each receiving a scholarship of HK$10,000 at the 21st Hong Kong Housing Society Award (HKHS Award) presentation ceremony held on 31 January 2026:

Chau Man     Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Surveying
Lo Ka-lam     Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Building Engineering and Management

Yeung Kai     Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Surveying

Established by the Hong Kong Housing Society to foster talent development in Hong Kong’s housing and elderly-care industries, the HKHS Award recognises students with outstanding academic performance in related disciplines while offering financial assistance to those in need. This year’s awardees came from 14 local tertiary institutions and their continuing education schools and community colleges, as well as three member institutions of the Vocational Training Council.

Fencer Aaron Ho, who claimed the historic silver medal in the men’s sabre individual event at the 15th National Games, was invited to share his journey of perseverance at this year’s award presentation ceremony. Using the sabre as a metaphor, he encouraged students to make the most of the scholarships offered, seize opportunities with precision, push their limits in pursuit of their goals, and contribute to society with their strengths.
