W193 Global Tech Challenges

The W193 Global Tech Challenges, held from 7 to 8 July 2025 at Hong Kong Science Park, brought together primary and secondary student teams from mainland China, Malaysia, Mexico, Hong Kong and Macau. Participants competed in a series of science and technology challenges designed to foster innovation and problem-solving.  The event was organised by the Global Alliance for STEAM Education, with support from PolyU SPEED’s Research Centre for Green Business (RCGB).
Students from PolyU CPCE’s Division of Business and Hospitality Management played a key role as event helpers, gaining hands-on experience in international event operations. Accompanied by Senior Lecturer Dr Joseph Lee—who also delivered a keynote address—the students had a unique opportunity to interact with global participants and witness technological innovations firsthand.
