With the commencement of the 2022/23 academic year for PolyU SPEED on 5 September 2022, the Student Affairs Office of the College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University organised a series of orientation activities under the theme of “Unleash Your Unique Potentials” to welcome the 2022 cohort of freshmen of articulation honours degree programmes. These activities, with the aim of helping new students adapt to college life, included sharing sessions and workshops such as “Get Ready for U and Me”, “English Survival”, “Freeing Campus”, and “Graduate Sharing – Campus Life, Articulation and Career Plan”.
In the induction video, Prof. Peter Yuen, Dean of CPCE, welcomed freshmen to the PolyU family. Prof. Yuen said face-to-face teaching would be fully resumed in the new academic year and he was very much looking forward to seeing our campuses as vibrant as in the past. He said, “Students can also use the learning and sports facilities on the PolyU Hung Hom Bay and West Kowloon Campuses as well as the PolyU Main Campus. I hope students can enjoy the safest learning environment with the highest quality as well as the best campus life in the new academic year.”
Dr Jack Lo, PolyU SPEED Director, said, “I promise all of you that the School will help you adapt to university life as always. We’ll offer you quality education and internship opportunities so that you can enjoy a rich and wonderful learning journey.”
