PolyU-SPEED Award Admission Information Day goes digital for the first time!
18 Apr 2016
Nowadays, teenagers search for and exchange information mainly via digital platform and social network. Therefore, PolyU SPEED changes the format of its traditional Information Day on campus for PolyU-SPEED award programmes by launching a brand new admission website – “PolyU-SPEED Award Admission D-Information Page” (D-Information Page) (http://d-info.speed-polyu.edu.hk/). The new admission website provides customised videos and information of PolyU-SPEED award programmes. From programme information to online application, D-Information Page provides a one-stop solution for sub-degree graduates, allowing them to browse the admission-related information of the School anytime, anywhere.
In terms of website layout, PolyU SPEED adopts a more colourful and vibrant design to give a fresh look and feel. In terms of content, as the sub-degree graduates are the target audience of the D-Information Page, on top of the “Programme Details” and “FAQ” sections, there are also short introductory videos with different themes, such as international summer school scheme, summer placement scholarship programme, student ambassador scheme, etc. Later, the D-Information Page will launch a short promotional video which are participated by student ambassadors. The video features different characters’ stories to introduce the students’ school life and facilities to the sub-degree graduates.
In view of the popularity of digital stickers on mobile applications, the School has added the “Cheer Up Zone” to the site and invited a designer to produce custom-made stickers for users to download or share to social platform. It hopes to cheer up and show support to the students who concern themselves with articulation issues. More digital stickers will be introduced and details will be announced through PolyU SPEED Facebook page shortly.
PolyU SPEED keeps introducing new initiatives to accommodate the articulation needs of the sub-degree graduates, helping them choose the suitable top-up bachelor’s honours degree programmes. Please visit http://d-info.speed-polyu.edu.hk/ to know more about PolyU-SPEED award programmes and other related information.
