PolyU SPEED Partners with The Hong Kong Shippers' Council to Launch International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code Training Program

PolyU SPEED and The Hong Kong Shippers' Council (HKSC) signed a memorandum of understanding on 28 June 2024 to promote professional knowledge in the maritime, logistics and maritime safety areas. Dr Simon Cheung, Head of the Continuing Education Office (CEO) of PolyU SPEED, and Mr Sunny Ho, MH, JP, Executive Director of HKSC, signed the memorandum to jointly launch the "International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code Training Program" in August 2024 to train professionals in handling international maritime dangerous goods.
The course mainly provides general concepts, principles and guidelines in handling dangerous goods for executive, operative, customer service, marketing and sales and documentation staff who have to deal with enquiries, bookings, documentation, monitoring and physical handling of dangerous goods in the shipping business.
