  • Graduates are equipped with strong employability in government departments, charity, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), non-profit-making organisations (NPOs) as Project Officers, Social Services Managers, Policy Researchers / Analysts and Agency Administrators.

 

Further Study Opportunities

  • Graduates can pursue postgraduate studies in famous local and overseas universities in various disciplines, in particularly, the academic programmes such as Master of Public Administration (MPA), MA in Social Policy, Master of Social Work (MSW), MPhil / PhD in Social Policy.

 

Programme Structure

The programme of study consists of at least 120 credits. All students are also required to complete 300 hours of Work-Integrated Education component.

Entrance Requirements

For HKDSE qualification holders:

  • Level 3 in Chinese Language and English Language;
  • Level 2 in Mathematics;
  • “Attained” level in Citizenship and Social Development; and
  • Level 2 or “Attained” level in one elective.

 

For holders of other qualifications:  

  • The equivalents of the above requirements.

 

For those who do not possess the above-mentioned qualifications but have reached the age of 25 before 1 September in the admission year, they may apply as “mature” applicants. They must demonstrate sufficient motivation, knowledge and potential to indicate a high probability of being able to complete the programme successfully.
