The BEng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering (Top-up programme) is accredited by The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE). Graduates are eligible for Scheme “A” Training in the disciplines of Aircraft (ACE), Control, Automation & Instrumentation (CAI), Electrical (EL). Programme Structure
The programme of study consists of at least 124 credits (including 3 training credits). All students are also required to complete 210 hours of Work-Integrated Education component.

Entrance Requirements
For HKDSE qualification holders:
- Level 3 in Chinese Language and English Language;
- Level 2 in Mathematics;
- “Attained” level in Citizenship and Social Development; and
- Level 2 or “Attained” level in one elective subject
Subject Preference:
- Level 2 in one of extended modules in Mathematics; or
- Level 2 in Physics or Combined Science (with a Physics component with Level 2)
For holders of other qualifications:
- The equivalents of the above requirements.
For those who do not possess the above-mentioned qualifications but have reached the age of 25 before 1 September in the admission year, they may apply as “mature” applicants. They must demonstrate sufficient motivation, knowledge and potential to indicate a high probability of being able to complete the programme successfully.
