From Beijing to the Greater Bay Area: A Dual Leap in Career and Life at PolyU SPEED

In Autumn 2025, I enrolled in the Master of Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality Management at PolyU SPEED. The year flew by, yet it was incredibly rewarding. Serving as the class monitor, I acted as a bridge between faculty and students. Despite our diverse backgrounds and ages, we bonded through study groups, supporting one another to ensure every classmate graduated successfully while forging lifelong friendships. This experience significantly honed my leadership and cross-cultural communication skills.

Professionally, this journey marked a significant pivot. Previously based in Beijing, obtaining my master’s degree and Hong Kong identity through SPEED enabled me to relocate my career to the Greater Bay Area. I have since joined an overseas wealth management platform centered in Hong Kong, entering a new chapter of life. I am deeply grateful to the programme leaders and teaching team for providing such an excellent platform, facilitating both my academic growth and successful career transformation.
