Paco Shum
BSc (Hons) in Health Studies^
My name is Paco Shum. I am so passionate to pursue a career in the healthcare industry. I believe that the healthcare industry is very meaningful and it brings benefits to the individuals and the community as a whole. In this Health Studies program, I had opportunities to learn how to gain insight into the behaviors and health problems of different populations. I understood that nothing is more important than the quality of life of all the human-beings, and I could also make good use of theses learning experience into my volunteer work and my full-time job as a patient care assistant. After graduation, I also completed a few certificate courses related to occupational therapy, child psychology as well as mental health. I sincerely believed that the goal of the occupational therapy and even rehabilitation can enhance quality of life of all the human-beings. Overall, I believed that the health-related knowledge acquired in this Health Studies programme provided me a professional horizon and even paved the way for becoming an occupational therapist in the future.
