2024/25 Construction-related Articulation Degree Programmes: On-the-Job Training Allowance Pilot Scheme (Subsidy up to HK$90,000)
Scheme Background
The On-the-Job Training Allowance Pilot Scheme provides subsidies for students in construction fields to pursue a construction-related part-time degree programme at PolyU SPEED. This Scheme aims to encourage more talents to join the construction industry and professionalise their careers.
Which PolyU SPEED’s Part-time Programmes are Included in the Scheme?
The following five construction-related part-time articulation degree programmes are included in the Scheme:
- BSc (Hons) in Surveying
- BSc (Hons) in Building Engineering and Management
- BSc (Hons) in Property and Asset Management
- BEng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering
- BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering
Who can Benefit?
- Admitted to one of the five construction-related part-time degree programmes above in 2024/25, AND
- Must be currently employed by a company in the construction field, AND
- The duration of the on-the-job training is not less than 36 working days in a 3-month period

Maximum Amount of Subsidy and Disbursement Arrangements
Maximum cumulative amount: HK$90,000
- First academic year: HK$24,000 (HK$2,000 per month X 12 months)
- Second academic year: HK$30,000 (HK$2,500 per month X 12 months)
- Third academic year: HK36,000 (HK$3,000 per month X 12 months)
(Allowance to be disbursed every 3 months)
